For the entirety of his career, Shaz has been engaged, involved in, and surrounded by payments within the issuer, acquirer, gateway, merchant, and scheme domains. His vertical expertise includes travel (airline and hotel), telecom, and quick service restaurants. He's particularly passionate about and focused on payments, finance, and technology as it engages with ideas around fintech and gateway solutions. Shaz has worked with well-versed gateways and risk solutions globally and travelled the globe looking at client solutions. In the past 10 years, he's expanded his insights within the African ecosystem, Middle East solutions and partners, and more recently, alternative payment solutions. Being a client himself, Shaz understands the need and the value required by partners and is able to align this with the value Visa offers.
