As Global Head of Acceptance Solutions at Visa, Rob is shaping the future of payment acceptance by partnering with clients to navigate digital commerce complexities and addressing an increasing need for flexibility and agility from today’s consumers and merchants. He leads a global team that is continually working to deliver a more open, interoperable, solution-led platform with increased scale and a more unified customer experience.
With more than 20 years’ experience, Rob has a strong track record of performance, leadership, and innovation in payment acceptance and the wider payments ecosystem. He is passionate about serving the customer and ensuring people are at the heart of everything he does.
Prior to joining Visa, Rob most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of Barclaycard Payments, which included oversight of Barclays’ market-leading acceptance, commercial issuing, B2B payments, and point-of-sale finance businesses. He has also held executive roles in North America and Europe at Chase Merchant Services, Moneris Solutions, and ACI Worldwide.
Rob is based in London, where he lives with his wife and three boys. He has served on the board of the Framework Foundation, which creatively connects causes with people who have a passion for serving. Rob holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Administration and Commercial Studies from Western University.
